How to get

Koutsoupia Beach, located on the western coast of Sithonia between Neos Marmaras and Porto Koufo, is a small, primarily pebbled beach stretching about 300 meters. Despite its scenic views, especially at sunset, and clean waters, it is not the most ideal spot for swimming. This is due to the presence of seaweed, a rocky seabed, and its proximity to the road, which detracts from the overall comfort. The beach itself lacks infrastructure, but several interesting places are nearby and worth exploring.

What’s nearby

Directly across from Koutsoupia Beach lies Kelifos Island, often referred to as "Turtle Island" due to its distinctive shape. The island is a popular destination for open-water swimming and exploring the underwater world along its rocky shores. You can reach it via yacht cruises departing from Neos Marmaras.

Just one kilometer south along the coastal road, you’ll find the seasonal Panos Fish Tavern, an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Known for its fresh, flavorful dishes and excellent service, the tavern offers a menu featuring main courses like fish and shrimp, a variety of appetizers, desserts, coffee, and light homemade wine. Portions are generous, and meals are served promptly.

For visitors, the tavern also provides clean restrooms, ample parking, and a small dock for boats. However, it’s worth noting that the nearby beach and its waters are not well-suited for swimming due to rocky areas on the seabed and the presence of moored boats. From any table, you can enjoy stunning sea views and sunsets, with nearby cliffs offering an ideal backdrop for photos.

If you travel a bit further, you’ll come across the Areti Camping & Bungalows site. This camping area boasts picturesque coves, well-maintained grounds, cozy accommodations with kitchens and bathrooms, and warm hospitality from the hosts. The site also features a restaurant and provides sun umbrellas and loungers for camping guests.
